Come and try Judo - the first week is free

See the training schedule in the "About us" section on this site.
For your first session wear comfortable clothing (gym gear). We have spare Judo suits at the club for you to borrow so you can feel the part. If you have done a similar martial art like BJJ then feel free to wear your BJJ uniform. Make sure nails are cut short and hair is tied back and bring a water bottle. Please also wear thongs or sliders for when you step off the mat and remove all rings and piercings before the class starts.
Your first week is free but we do ask that you register with the Judo Federation on a trial basis when you start (the link is on the "Resources" page. After your trial the Judo sessions are $15 per session. We can set up fortnightly direct debits or take payment via EFTPOS.
If you continue with Judo, then you will need to upgrade your Judo Federation membership to a paid member, and this is an annual cost. Please also speak to us regarding purchasing a Judo Gi (uniform).
The first session can always seem a bit daunting, but rest assured we will look after you. We have a number of instructors on the mat each session and some senior grades to assist. In your first session you will learn to fall correctly, learn some basic groundwork movement and a throw. This is usually done one on one or in a small group if we have a few newcomers.
We don't offer beginner classes as both the junior and senior classes are a mix of grades. As a newcomer one of the senior grades or instructors will take you through all the basics to ensure you feel confident for your next class.
